What’s Your Story?

  • Deborah

Consider the length of a biography, an autobiography, or a memoire. Even the most complete version of any of them is an extremely edited version of a life lived. Let me ask you this: what would the edited version of your life be? What is the story you are writing each and every day with the choices you make?

I came across a quote from Jane Goodall that is worth pondering:

“You cannot go through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”  Jane Goodall

We would be wise to ask ourselves, “What is the story my choices are writing today?”

God created you to be a world changer. He created you to impact the world around you. He created you with all that you need in order to influence your world in a particular way while fulfilling your God-given purpose.

Your impact may be on family or friends. It could be on strangers at the grocery store or gas station. You may not speak, preach, or perform before large audiences. Size of the “world around you” doesn’t matter. Your choice of actions and words matters.

What will your choices be today?

What story will you write today?

  1. We are all definitely here to impact the world! That is a very sobering reminder and thinking of it tends to makes me think before I speak and act. Accountability to my purpose.
