You Don’t Want to Miss Friday 4/21

  • Deborah

I am so excited about what the Lord is doing. He has gone before me to smooth the rough places and make my path straight for April’s conference Soaring With God to Flourish.

“Let every valley be lifted up,
And every mountain and hill be made low;
And let the rough ground become a plain,
And the rugged terrain a broad valley;”
Isaiah 40:4

Soaring With God to Flourish opens Friday night, April 21, 2023 at 6:00pm. The night will be a night of artistic expression as my sister in Christ, Ms. Vertie Townley brings a benefit concert to Nashville. I am privileged to paint while Vertie sings. We have talked about doing this for years and I am thrilled that the Lord has said, ‘Now is the time.”

We will take a love offering to help Vertie take a mission trip to Nigeria with the nonprofit, Amor Initiatives. The mission of this nonprofit is “To inspire lifelong health-seeking behaviors and health promotion through advocacy, resource mobilization, and community empowerment services”.  Vertie hopes to travel to Nigeria by the end of 2023. You can find out more at www.amorinitiatives.com.

The founder and director of Amor Initiatives will be joining us Friday night and all day Saturday so you can find out even more about this important work.

Vertie will be joined by the band “3 in 1” which features Joe Basden on key boards, Joseph Stacey on guitar, and Shamar Woodsen on drums. The band hails from Southern Illinois, so I am thrilled to welcome them to Music City.

Those of you have experienced Vertie’s ministry, you know how powerfully Holy Spirit flows through her. As she says, “It is one of the languages He uses to flow through me to others.”

I am confident that we will experience God in new ways throughout the conference weekend, and Friday night will just be the beginning as we enter into worship through song and visual art.

You don’t want to miss this move of God!
