Lately God has been speaking to me about the ripple effect of our lives. You never know when He will take something you said or did and use it to change a life. Live authentically as who He created you to be, doing what He created you to do and you change the world one day, one assignment, one person at a time.
It is no surprise then that when I was unexpectedly asked to paint during worship at an art ministry conference that the Lord showed me that He wanted me to artistically represent the ripple effect that the conference would have.
He woke me up at 2:00 am to show me the vision of the painting. When I awaoke later, He confirmed the vision with a devotion dedicated to Paul’s verse in Philippians.
And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. Philippians 1:12 NLT
Yes, Paul is talking about his imprisonment, but Holy Spirit used this verse to confirm the work of my hands for that morning.
We attend conferences to learn, to network, to grow, and to be inspired. Conferences can be mountaintop experiences. But the growth, the knowledge, or the inspiration is not meant to stay bottled up. It is meant to be used to spread the Good News of Christ when you return to your life.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
“Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:1–3
You, Dear One, are meant to shine! You are the light that the darkness of the world needs.
You don’t need to wait for the next conference to recharge your battery and brighten your light.
Your light source is Jesus!
Your light source is the Creator!
Your light source is Holy Spirit!
You reflect the light of God just as the moon reflects the light of the sun.
You are a part of God’s wave of light.
As you live fully embracing your God-given identity and purpose, you are a significant part of God’s ripple effect bringing light to the darkness.
Arise and Shine!
