Currently I am deep into fact finding about eagles as I prepare for my upcoming conference Soaring With God to New Destinations. One of the things that I love about eagles is how protective they are of their young. Watch any eagle cam for long enough and you will see how tenderly these mighty birds of prey maneuver around their young. A mother eagle will spread her wings out over the eaglets during any type of natural threat like wind or rain.
Watch an eagle cam for any length of time and you will gain a new appreciation for Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. Psalm 91:4
God covers you with His wings so that you may seek and find refuge.
Refuge can be defined as a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.
From what do you seek refuge today?
We know the enemy is in constant pursuit to knock us off of the path the Lord has for us. Seek cover under the protection of the Lord’s wing.
Where do you need a safe place in your life?
We might be surrounded by relationships that don’t feel safe, but there is safety in our relationship with a loving Father who is faithful to protect His young.
Do you need a little shelter and rest from the storm in your life?
God is our source of supernatural rest. Rest in Him, knowing that His wings spread over you like a shield against the elements in your life that cause stress.
Be encouraged today. Rest under the wings of Your Heavenly Father who loves and cares for you and all that you are going through.
