Are you more comfortable with a keyboard than a pen and paper? Does the bulk of a hard copy notebook keep you from taking your journal on the road with you? I have a suggestion.
In 2017 I prepared for a 3 week trip to Italy with the goal of packing in a carry-on suitcase. I knew I couldn’t spend the room taking my spiral bound journaling notebook. Daily journaling for me is more than a writing habit. It is a time I meet with the Lord, explore scripture, and offer prayers of gratitude and supplication to the Lord.
So, I researched the best free app for journaling on my iPad. Bear came out the winner. Currently it carries a 4.7/5.0 star rating on the Apple App Store. I use the Bear app on my iPad whenever I need an alternative to my spiral journal.
The free version has all that I need to record my daily musings, reflections, prayers, and so much more.
Because of the COVID pandemic through 2020, it has been awhile since I have actually used this app. I look forward to taking it out, connecting my bluetooth keyboard to my iPad, and using it again when I get back to flying places.
Such is the convenience of an app on a smart device!
