Replacing God’s truth where you once stored the enemy’s lies is critical to being transformed by the renewing of your mind.
“And do not be conformed to this [c]world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
This “replacement therapy” is a choice that invites God’s light, life, and blessing into your day to day experience.
I suggest that use develop a whole container of what I call prescriptures. These are scriptures that underscore the promises of God and the truth of who He created you to be and what He created you to do.
Here’s my prescription for you:
Start with Psalm 139:14
“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.”
Mix it with
Genesis 1:31
“God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.”
Add Philippians 1:6
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Mix in:
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Store in your heart.
Add to it as the Lord gives you more life affirming verses.
Take out daily.
Use liberally.
God’s Word is the most effective way to replace the lies of the enemy with truth. Keep these verses handy and watch what a difference it makes in your attitude and approach to life.
I love this! So helpful and encouraging! And a very clever metaphor!
Thanks! I love the notion of using scriptures as antidotes to be sure!
