Steps to Soaring

  • Deborah

Today I want you to take out your notes from your dreaming time with God. What big audacious vision did He share with you? Let me say, it is okay to feel a little overwhelmed and uncertain at this point. That keeps you leaning into Holy Spirit’s guidance. He likes it that way.

The next step is to take more time with the Lord and ask Him to highlight where He wants you to focus next—in the near future.

For instance, chapter videos have been a part of the ministry vision since I wrote the first draft of Created For So Much More in 2015. It wasn’t until 2020 that Holy Spirit directed me to that part of the vision. It was 2021 before He said, “Now is the time.”

Before directing me to write and record chapter videos I was directed to focus on online studies of Created For So Much More and to monthly online teaching sessions. All were a part of the original big dream. I needed to listen for God’s timing.

In 2020, when videos came on the radar, my son, Jesse was furloughed from his job and was willing and able to help me produce the series. He didn’t have time before that and hasn’t since he went back to work in late spring 2021. God’s timing is always perfect for us and for the task at hand.

Running ahead will bring frustrations.

Lagging behind will bring missed opportunities.

Over the course of the next several days, sit with the Lord and His vision. Wait for Him to show you the next right thing to focus on.

This is the first step to set your goals to work small to accomplish all that the Lord has for you.

Meanwhile rest and enjoy the holiday weekend knowing your loving Father wants you to fulfill your purpose as much as you do.

Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

God is faithful to your calling and to you.

Rest.

Be expectant.

Wait for the Lord’s direction.

“Yet those who wait for the Lord

Will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become weary.”  Isaiah 40:31

Soon you will be soaring on wings of eagles!
