On the heels of crossing the Jordan River into the long awaited Promised Land, the Lord gave Joshua one more instruction. God told Joshua to build a memorial.
And Joshua said to them, “Cross again to the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel. Let this be a sign among you, so that when your children ask later, saying, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ then you shall say to them, ‘Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.’ So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever.” Joshua 4:5–7
Not only does God want to do miracles in your life. He wants you to tell the story and remember.
What miracles has God done in your life?
When has He made a way when there seemed to be no way, like He did for the Children of Israel both at the Red Sea and the Jordan River?
When have you taken His Presence into a situation and He has piled up resistance so that you could cross the threshold into your amazing future?
Take a few minutes today to ponder what the Lord has done in your life.
Remember. Tell the story.
In order
“That all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, so that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” Joshua 4: 24
Amen and amen.
I love this! Ty!
