What would happen if we all agreed to pray for each other the way the apostle Paul prayed for the Thessalonians?
“To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,”
2 Thessalonians 1:11
Imagine if God fulfilled every desire for your goodness and work of faith with power! What mountains would be moved? How far would your reach extend?
It’s amazing to think about.
I do suggest that we begin to pray this type of prayer for each other. But Paul didn’t leave it at that. There is one more verse in this chapter and it reads,
“So that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2Thessalonians 1:12
You see, the point of your calling is to glorify the name of Jesus!
Yes, we need to pray for each other, but it is not so that we become the best at what we do, it is so that God will be glorified!
Yes and Amen!
