Today I want to consider another passage in Scripture that refers to God as the one with eagle’s wings.
‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4
The multiple truths found in the little passage are worth recognizing and holding close to your heart.
First, God reminds His people that He took care of their enemy. He does the same for you. Whatever you are facing today, allow God to deal with it. Let Him handle the Egyptians in your life. He is your Defender.
Second, imagine yourself on the back of a giant eagle soaring away from the battle (the Lord reminded me of the final battle scene in the movie Avatar where they are riding on huge birdlike creatures). You are not holding on for dear life. You can in fact rest because you know the eagle (the Lord) has you and will protect you.
Not only does your loving Father defeat your enemies, He keeps you safe by removing you from the battle field. He bears you up to soar on His wings.
Finally, the reason God delivers and transports you is to bring you to Himself. Intimacy with you is His number one priority. He is with you all of the time. He never leaves you or forsakes you.
He loves you with an everlasting love.
YOU are what matters to God. Not your gifts or skills. Not what you do for Him. YOU!
Soar on His wings and let Him bring you to His loving arms.
