This is the time to dream big and work small. “Dream Big, Work Small” is one of the top three strategies for soaring into an amazing future and the so much more that God has for you.
As the year winds down, I have asked you to look back and take inventory of the blessings and unexpected God moments you have experienced. Today, I want to begin to look forward.
Often people head into the new year determined to set goals for themselves and their work. Setting goals is a great thing to do. But many people miss an all important step. That step is to take the time to dream with God.
Sit with Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you His vision and plan for you and your future. Don’t be afraid to think big audacious dreams. After all we serve a big audacious God.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
Jesus tells us that we will have life and have it abundantly. It is the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy particularly loves to decimate the dreams of God’s children by telling you that your dreams are too big. Or perhaps he whispers that you don’t deserve such a big dream. Those are lies of the enemy.
The fact is that if your dream could come to pass through your own strength and abilities, it wouldn’t be a very big dream would it?
God wants you relying on Him to bring your dream to pass. He has big audacious plans for each of His children.
Go ahead. Think big thoughts, Dear One.
Dream big dreams.
Write them down.
For today that is where I want you to stop. Today we aren’t planning the work.
Allow your mind, your heart, and your spirit to soar into the so much more than you could ask or imagine of God.
Rest there. There is plenty of time to plan the work and set the goals.
