Music Monday: Kaleidoscope Jesus

Lauren Daigle’s new album—simply titled Lauren Daigle—is full of great songs. You might be familiar with “Thank God I Do.” It’s the one I know I have heard on my favorite Christian Music radio station.

But to me the stand out song is Kaleidoscope Jesus. It appears it is also the song that inspired the album cover.

The song is all about seeing Jesus in different ways:

-How different people reflect Him uniquely.

-All of the many places we see and meet Him.

-How His love is not typical

-All of the way His mercies are new every morning.

-The many ways He reveals Himself to us.

A word Ms. Daigle uses to describe Jesus is unpredictable. I love that. The idea is the minute you have an image fixed in your mind of who Jesus is, He turns things around. It is like looking though a kaleidoscope when the cylinder is turned and the image completely changes.

Jesus is indeed like a kaleidoscope. His love, His grace, His revelation, His identity, and so much more constantly change as we embrace His ever changing nature.

He shifts to fit our needs.

Our perspective changes as He reveals more and more of Himself.

Every time we experience His so much more, we see a different image of who He is.
