The song Alone, Pt. II by Alan Walker and Ava Max proves once again that you don’t need a “Christian” song to inspire you and spur you on in your journey of your God given identity and purpose.
I often talk about the cheerleaders in your life. This song describes that person beautifully.
Your cheerleaders are those friends or family members that are with you through the highs and lows. They are people who understand you—sometimes better than you understand yourself. They are people who are there to lift your arms when you grow weary of doing good (Galatians 6:9). They are people who open there arms to you when you need a shoulder to cry on. They do not judge and do not try to fix things.
Your cheerleaders are people with whom you can let your hair down and simply be who God created you to be.
Jesus is your ultimate friend.
“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.” John 15:15
Jesus stands waiting for you with His forgiving eyes. He understands you and stands by you.
So, this song could be sung to your cheerleaders or to your Savior. God doesn’t require us to worship with only those songs that are written intentionally for Jesus Followers. Sing this song to Jesus and it becomes a worship song.
The point is that you are not meant to walk this this journey alone.
