One of the 12 strategies for unlocking your amazing future that I share in Created For So Much More is Live Your Message. I often speak of the importance of recognizing that we stand for something and project a message by how we speak and act. Clearly defining your message and then representing it across social media, conversations, websites, etc. is an important step for any person. It is critical for any one in business and/or ministry.
Recently I hired Kristi Thomas of Designed by Kristi to develop a branding package for the ministry. It included defining my log line (“Helping others find their way”), selecting a palette that represents me and the message I promote, and of course developing a logo.
I am thrilled to introduce the Graphic Designer and Brand Developer that linked arms with me to design a package that is so much more than I could have imagined: Kristi Thomas of Designed By Kristi.
Kristi also took my paintings of the icons for the new book and converted them into black and white line drawings that were better suited for publishing purposes. She is a master!
Kristi hails from the Indianapolis, IN area and has a rich and varied history of serving the Lord through the arts. She has been a piano teacher, a motivational speaker and itinerant chalk artist. She and her family also spent 2 years in the Philippines working for a nonprofit organization. Upon her return to the United States she switched her focus of artistic expression to graphic design and branding.
In her own words, “I greatly enoy being behind the scenes and helping clients while using my creativity and art. I’m an introvert who loves to learn new things. I also enjoy helping other people.” As a self-employed artist, she also enjoys the flexibility to work and be available for her husband and four children.
I think Kristi’s “words to live by” are perfect for a self-employed artist working with other people. They are “Give them grace. Remember when things go wrong that other people are doing the best they can.”
Kristi’s favorite Scriptures:
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
John 12:28 Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
John 12:30 Jesus answered and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.
As Kristi shares, “I’ve been thinking about these words a lot the last few weeks {the verses in John}, reminding me that ultimately, God will glorify Himself. He allows me to be a tool for that. God allows me to witiness it and He invites me to join in!”
Kristi is a joy to work with. She is a great listener and communicator as well as a gifted graphic artist and brand developor who is obviously doing what God created her to do.
I certainly recommend her for any of your graphic art needs. Please visit Kristi’s website, www.designedbykristi.com to learn more.
