God’s method of connecting His children amazes me. I am often in awe when He flexes His creativity muscles and brings just the right person into my life at just the right time. He led Danyelle Youngers to me as an art student and transformed the relationship into so much more.
In 2012, in answer to a Group On offer, Danyalle Youngers attended my “Express Yourself” painting workshop. From there we began an ongoing painting mentorship for about a year before the Lord led us into talking about our faith journeys and took the relationship to a whole new level.
By the time the Lord asked me to host my first conference, Danyalle was positioned to be a sounding board about the idea. She was the first to point out the need for a team of intercessors that would pray for me and the ministry. From that moment to this day Danyalle has served as a faithful intercessor for me and the ministry.
Danyalle has prayed me through more than one crisis, helped birth Created For So Much More: the book, the groups, and the videos through her prayers and friendship. Danyalle led the group of intercessors for several years and served as my assistant on the road more than once.
When I asked Danyalle what drew her to my ministry she said, “The message that I was created for so much more came at a dark time in my life when I felt far away from God. I could not see any purpose in my life. God has led me on a path of recovery from depression, anxiety, and past trauma as He combined the teaching from Deborah with other modalities of inner healing. In the midst of that He showed me that my purpose was to use what I’d been through to help others.”
I often say that God is in the recycling business and uses all that we go through in order to help others going through similar things. Danyalle is a prime example of finding purpose in the midst of the storm. Now, after taking classes to hone her skills, doing the work, and taking risks—all strategies of the so much more lifestyle—she is a professional recovery coach.
Danyalle works with women who struggle with the balance of home, work, and maintaining their own recovery. She looks forward to the day when A Guided Journal to Soaring With God is published and she can share it with clients. In her words, “I want to help other women grow in their walk with God as I have.”
You can learn more about Danyalle’s journey and her coaching business on her website www.sonwray.com.
On the other side of her dark time, Danyalle says the message that there is still so much more for her continues to encourage her. She has personally gone through the study of Created For So Much Morethree times and always impresses me with how much more she gleans from the material and hears from the Lord each time.
As a professional recovery coach, it is no surprise that Danyalle’s words to live by is her favorite recovery slogan. It is “Do the next imperfect action.” I love that!
Danyalle’s favorite Scriptures:
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
Psalm 23:1–6
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Please join me in thanking the Lord for this faithful intercessor and strong woman of God. If you are in need of recovery coaching, please check out the website here and reach out to Danyalle. You will be glad you did.
