I am a visual artist dedicated to bringing Heaven to Earth through my paintings. I am what is known as a prophetic artist in that I invite Holy Spirit into my painting process. Every piece I create has the potential to be the gateway for someone to encounter the God I worship as I create.
There have been times when people have asked me to show them my inspirational or prophetic paintings. My response is that my entire inventory fits into that category. I never know what Holy Spirit will connect with a viewer whether they are viewing Fenway Park like this painting, or a more abstract/ symbolic piece.
I am not what I paint.
You, my Friend, are not what you do, where you live, or what you own. You are not measured by success as the world measures it. God created you with specific gifts, talents, personality traits, and so much more. He placed you in the precise family He intended for you at the exact time that He needed you to be alive on this earth.
For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them. Psalm 139:13–16
You were created for a purpose that may be completely unrelated to what you do for a living.
Do not let the labels of the world box you. God created you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Allow Him to whisper who He created you to be even if is aside from what you do for a living. The apostle Paul earned his living making tents, yet he is known for his evangelism, teachings, and writing.
You are who God says you are. You are “not what you paint.”
