Just say Yes

Earlier this year a good friend and sister in Christ told a group of us that this was the “Year of yes.” She has been faithful ever since to say yes to God in all aspects of her life. 

God is looking for people who will say yes to Him. Recently I have experienced dozens of people saying yes to giving up their weekends to encounter and soar with God. The result has been life-changing—for them and for me—as God fed them His truth about who He created them to be and what He created them to do. 

Saying “Yes” to God will cause you to get out of the boat of conformity and comfort. It will stretch you in ways you never thought possible. You will meet people you didn’t anticipate and find yourself in divinely ordained conversation and circumstances. 

Saying “Yes” to God is the first step on the adventure with Him. You may have to flap your wings to attain the altitude He shows you, but soon you will be soaring effortlessly on the wind of His Spirit. 

God looks at the earth and asks, “Who can I send?” 

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8

When you—like Isaiah—are willing to be sent. You say “Yes” to God. 

Imagine how the world would change if we all decided like my friend, that this was the “Year of Yes.”
