I was going to write something completely different for today, but last night I had the privilege of hearing and experiencing Micah Tyler play to a relatively small audience here at the CMCA conference. He said something that has really hit me.
While telling his story, he said, “It’s not about being successful or famous. It’s about being faithful.”
He asked us all, “What did the master say to the servant?” To which we all replied, “Well, done good and faithful servant.” Jesus didn’t refer to the servant in the parable as good and successful or famous.
He recognized the servant’s faithfulness.
I recommend that you sit with that a minute or two. Ask the Lord how you can be faithful to your gifts, talents, and what He has asked you to do.
Today.
What can you do today that reflects your faithfulness to the Lord and to His call?
Don’t worry about tomorrow or the result.
It’s about being faithful today.
