Twice a year we “Spring Forward” or “Fall Back” as we reset our clocks to align with standard time or daylight savings time. I am always amazed at the comments I see and hear both in fall and in spring.
This year I actually have seen people comment about losing an hour of sunlight as we moved our clocks back an hour. It strikes me that this is a perfect example of mindset and perspective.
The actual hours of sunlight did not change significantly from Saturday to Sunday. Sure, the days continue to grow shorter, but not an hour within 24 hours!
What has changed is perspective. The daylight begins earlier in the day and ends earlier in the evening. No one has stolen the hour of sunlight. The perspective has simply changed.
How often have I written about mindset and perspective?
This week is a great time to consider your thoughts and reactions and recognize that the only thing that has actually changed is your attitude and approach.
You can choose to embrace the change or you can choose to grumble about it, allow it to upset you, and ultimately ruin your day.
You choose.
This kind of choice is up to you whenever change happens. When things do not go the way you expected you have a choice to embrace the change or to grumble about it, allow it to upset you, and ultimately ruin your day.
The question is what perspective will you choose?
Choices require accountability.
The world RUNS from accountability!!
Pointing fingers and blaming others is more comfortable …unfortunately.
Unfortunate for sure! You know how I feel about taking responsibility!
Thanks for your comment. Love you Sister!
