“‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways’ declares the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.'” Isaiah 55:8-9
Shifts in the economy, technology, education, etc. have brought a “new normal” to our lives. No longer can we rely on the old ways of living. We see and hear of new ways to do business, to do school, etc.. Doing kingdom life in the twenty-first century requires a paradigm shift. In Isaiah 55 God tells us that His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts. Indeed, they are both higher than our ways and thoughts. Yet, as followers of Jesus we should be transforming more each day into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). Paul encourages us in Romans 12:2 to “Not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” As we renew our minds and move from glory to glory, our ways and our thoughts should also be transforming and reaching new heights.
This spring the Lord tapped me on the shoulder and told me to schedule something to teach and explore this. This fall, September 20-22, we will gather together as brothers and sisters in Christ, we will gather nuggets and truths into our spirits as the Lord speaks, God will gather us closely to Him to gather strength to passionately pursue His heart. Thus the term “Gathering”….
Will you join me in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee (Franklin area) Friday-Sunday, September 20-22 for a weekend of exploring what God has to teach us about shifting our ways of doing life? We will explore and experience the Father’s heart to co-labor with us in our daily lives. How do we appropriate the creative nature of God daily? What does it mean to think from heaven’s perspective? How did Jesus model creative living?
This weekend will be a time of seeking God through worship, teaching, fellowship, and personal ministry. We will be on the campus of Grace Chapel for Friday and Saturday with Sunday morning being held at my home in Franklin.
The registration fee of $20 covers supplies.
