Last night I had a dream with a message that fit right in with the conversation about goal setting, taking the leap to try new things, and continuing to work on the big audacious dreams God has for me and for you.
In my dream, I was busy doing whatever was on my to-do list. Nothing spectacular, just mundane things that needed to be done. I moved from one thing to another, crossing them off my list as I went.
Unexpectedly, a loving Presence came up behind me and placed a hand on each of my shoulders. I could feel the weightiness of the hands.
I heard a voice say, “Pause.”
I woke up.
“What was that Lord?” I asked.
I heard, “I want you to pause enough in the midst of your work to enjoy and appreciate the journey.”
God walks with you and I to co-labor with us in all that we do.
He wants you to fulfill your purpose in life. But He also wants to have a loving relationship with you. Pause long enough in your labors to recognize and nurture your relationship with Jesus as the loving Presence in your life.
God used a dream as a great reminder to not get so caught up in the day-to-day work and tasks at hand that I miss what God is doing in, through, and around me.
I pass that direction and admonition on to you in hopes that you, too, will take the time to notice and spend time with Jesus as you move forward in your journey.
