Friday, as I drove home from serving as “midwife of the soul” for my uncle I was fortunate to catch most of the Sirius XM introductory release of Mercy Me’s newest album titled Always Only Jesus. I treasure the stories behind the songs, but the songs themselves are amazing.
The title track—”Always Only Jesus”— is an awesome worship track which reminds us that sometimes all we need to pray is the name of Jesus.
My favorite song however is “Heart Beats For Your Good’ It is a hand raising reminder of Romans 8:28:
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
The album ends with a new rendition of the old hymn “Nothing But the Blood.”
I highly recommend taking the time to listen to the album start to finish. You will be glad you did.
