‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.” Exodus 6:6 NIV
Different translations use words like burden, slavery, oppression rather than the word “yoke” in this verse. I ask, what is your yoke? What burden do you carry that weighs you down? What in your life oppresses you? Whether it is your past, present or future, the Lord gives you the same promise He gave the Children of Israel.
I am the Lord and I will bring you out from under.
I will free you.
I will redeem you.
Do you believe that? Do you trust that the Lord’s outstretched arm can reach the recesses of your heart and soul to deliver, free, and redeem you?
Believe it, Dear One! He sent Jesus to pay the price and gain victory over sin, death, and the power of the devil.
The Lord breaks the yoke, lifts the burden, and frees you from the bondage of slavery.
Not because you have done anything.
But because the Lord, you God loves you that much.
Give God your burden, your yoke, your bondage.
You will be free to soar unencumbered as who God created you to be.
Hallelujah!
