‘You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Turn and set your journey, and go.” Deuteronomy 1:6–7
I have written a lot about the times when God says, “Wait.” Or “Pause.” These are times when we can become anxious to move forward in our destiny, but the Lord has heart work to do. Or He is at work behind the scenes aligning things on our behalf.
The danger in a pause or wilderness season is we can grow content to stay there.
Waiting on the Lord offers times of intimacy and precious moments of being in His Presence. It could become comfortable to not take steps out of those places and times when the Lord says, “Come sit with Me.” You were created with the purpose of advancing God’s Kingdom here on earth. In order to do so, you must move from that place of waiting and possess your promised land.
After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, God told the Children of Israel through Moses, “It is time to move on and receive your inheritance.”
“See, I have placed the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to them and their descendants after them.” Deuteronomy 1:8
What is your inheritance?
Where is your promised land?
It is time to go. It is time to leave the mountain. Turn and go.
Take the step that the Lord has asked you to take outside your comfort zone. Make that call. Write that email or blog. Sign up for that class. Contact that person. Make that appointment.
Do not wait. There is blessing waiting for you. That’s God’s promise to you.
“May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand-fold more than you are and bless you, just as He has promised you!” Deuteronomy 1: 11
Hallelujah!
Now, go. Leave the mountain and possess the land.
Try it! God has blessings waiting for you.
