Who Do You Say I Am?

  • Deborah

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
(Psalm 139:13)

Knowing who God says you are, and knowing your identity in Christ, is at the root of grasping the so much more that the Lord has for you.

God named you and created you with exactly the right traits that you need to fulfill your purpose. It has nothing to do with your age, profession, education, or location. Those are all labels that satan and the world put on you.

Make no mistake about it: satan, the father of lies, would like nothing more than for you to stay in the box that labels create. Boxes of education, profession, or roles you serve. The enemy would tell you that you are forever a product of your past. He wants you to be deceived into believing that your identity is based on what you do, how much money you make, where you live, or how big your sphere of influence is. These are all labels.

Labels are the enemy’s boxes meant to keep you where you are. These labels are also strongholds that hold you back. They are chains that keep you captive, stymied, and unable to move forward in your journey. When you keep your spirit tuned to Heaven’s perspective, you break out of the labels that limit you.

When you hear who the Lord says you are, you see yourself with new eyes. Jesus invites you to step out of those boxes and break free from the labels that hold you captive. Jesus invites you to see, hear, and understand the so much more of who you were created to be and the so much more of what you were created to do,

Jesus holds out His hand and asks you to soar with Him.

Take some time to sit with the Lord and ask Him this question:

“Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, what were you thinking when You formed me in my mother’s womb?”

Allow Him to fill your mind and spirit with who He says you are. You, Dear One, are who He says you are. You are who He named you to be.

Soar in and with the so much more of your God-given identity!
