God does not compare you to anyone.
God does not make mistakes.
You are everything you need to be to soar as who God created you to be.
God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Genesis 1:31
God created you and said, “It is very good.”
In our human condition we look around and compare ourselves to a host of other people. Advertising agencies would love it if you would find yourself lacking so that you would buy whatever product they are selling.
You have the power to STOP and say, “No” to statements like
I’M NOT ever going to make it to the next level of health, wealth, of contentment,
I’M NOT __________________ ENOUGH to fulfill my dream.
COMPARED TO ________________ I’ll never make it.
What you are really saying is all three of those red flag words and phrases combined,
I’M NOT ENOUGH COMPARED TO _________________________.
God doesn’t expect you to be perfect. Don’t expect yourself to be perfect.
God doesn’t wait for you to have it all together before He loves you and showers you with His blessing and favor. In fact, His favor is what can shield you from the enemy’s (and society’s) lies that tell you that you are “less than.”
“For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord,
You surround him with favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12
Today, ask the Lord to help you recognize your red flags and to open your eyes to see His blessings and favor.
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Focus your attention on blessings and favor and you will find yourself soaring with so much more freedom and contentment.
