Meet the Team: The Editor Behind the Books: Loral Pepoon

  • by

As an author, navigating through the self-publishing world can be intimidating. I wrote the first draft of Created For So Much More without having a clue as to how I would publish it. I say it often—God has a way of confirming your direction by putting the right person in your life at the right time. Read the forward to Created For So Much More and you will get a glimpse of how God works. It is written by Loral Pepoon, the woman who edited Created For So Much More and A Guided Journal to Soaring With God.

It was a total “God accident”—by that I mean His plan and not an accident at all—that I discovered that Loral Pepoon—who had attended the first Created For So Much More conference—was a freelance editor. Loral was not only working as the owner of Cowriterpro—her editing company—but as you can read in the forward, the Lord spoke to her about assisting me in publishing the material from Created For So Much More. It was with her help in transforming and polishing the spoken teaching that Created For So Much More  was published in 2017.

Often we can get hints of God’s purpose in our life at an early age. Loral’s love of language  showed itself at a young age. She told me that she was reading two or three Nancy Drew books a night by the time she was 9 years old. Loral graduated from Nancy Drew to the study of Latin, French, and German before she took her love of languages and books a step further. After college, knowing that she wanted to work in business using copywriting, Loral honed her skills and formalized her training by earning a master’s degree in journalism/advertising.

During her 14 years in the corporate publishing world, Loral worked in multiple positions in Chicago. Her move to Tennessee in 2013 was motivated by her desire to “collaborate with creative Christians.” God confirmed His direction to move out of corporate publishing and set up shop at Cowriterpro.  He continues to faithfully provide so much more as He brings so many more books to be edited and authors with which to work.

In 2018 the Lord enlarged Loral’s territory to include workshops. My upcoming book, A Guided Journal to Soaring With God began in the pilot class of the current workshops series entitled ABCS OF COWRITING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Loral has since added to her repertoire of classes at the Lord’s leading as she expanded from the “ABCs” to finishing, editing, and publishing.  In any of the classes, authors gain technical knowledge about writing as the Holy Spirit—working through Loral—frees them from stressors and empowers their God-breathed desire to write.

It is obvious that God created Loral to do the work she is doing as editor and teacher. In her own words, “ I believe that God heals people through words and that He wants us to pass along our knowledge in a creative way. I love to create beauty and clarity with words in both my own writing and by polishing the writing of others.”

Loral’s passion for all things writing is reflected in her Words to Live By:

“If God uses your writing to help one person, it is worth it. In the process you become more Christ-like because Jesus went after the one. As you go after the one—or do the next right thing—God will multiply your efforts.”

Loral’s Favorite Scriptures:

2 Corinthians 1:3–4 in the NIV

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Malachi 3:16 in the Amplified Bible

Then those who feared the Lord [with awe-filled reverence] spoke to one another; and the Lord paid attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who fear the Lord [with an attitude of reverence and respect] and who esteem His name.
