Clean it Out, Fill It Up

  • Deborah

By noon yesterday the demolition was done on the previous flooring in our home. There was (and still is) dust everywhere, including in cabinets and on the walls. Even the floor, where the crew had vacuumed needed another round before the installation of the new floor could begin.

They swept the place clean.

After your Demolition Day with Holy Spirit, make sure you fill your “house” with the opposite spirits that you cleaned out. Jesus teaches us this in the gospel of Luke.

“When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding any, it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds it swept and put in order. Then it goes and takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.” Luke 11: 24–26

Whenever you do any kind of heart cleaning, it is important to fill your heart with the truth and promises of God. You have the authority to bind up satan’s minions and to release—or loosen–the Spirit of God.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 16:19

This is not authority reserved for those in ministry. This is authority given to you as a child of God. What does that look like practically?

Has God pulled out a root of shame? Loose a spirit of love and adoption.

Have you finally rid yourself of a spirit of fear? Loose a spirit of power and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Fear of rejection? Loose a spirit of acceptance and unconditional love.

The Bible is full of scriptures that speak to the truth and promises of God. Speak those over yourself.

Fill yourself with God’s words of life, love, and blessing.

Bask in God’s word and His love in order to maintain your clean house.
