Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Philippians 4:8
It is only right that while I am zeroed in on focus that we talk about thoughts. You become what you think. Proverbs 23:7 tells us this when it says, “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.”
What are you thinking? Positive thoughts bring positive results. Godly thoughts brings godly behavior. The opposite is true as well. Negative self-talk will lead you into a downward spiral of self-pity and self-destruction.
This passage in Philippians reminds us to filter our thoughts.
Ask yourself these questions about your thought life.
“Is this true? Is this thought who God says I am?”
“Is this right? Does this thought align with God’s promises for me?”
“Does this thought reflect purity and loveliness?”
Ask God who He says you are and listen to what He says.
His word will always be true, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, excellent, and worthy of praise.”
Then celebrate who God created you to be!
You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
Hallelujah!
