Unwrap God’s Confirmation

  • Deborah

God confirms His direction and instruction in myriad of ways. Some can come to you instantaneously such as when a friend tells you exactly what you were waiting to hear. Or when a song on the radio speaks directly to the heart issue you have been working on. Other confirmations from Heaven come wrapped like a package— waiting to be unwrapped and revealed.

Proverbs tells this concealing of a matter is one of the ways God works.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,

But the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2.

I have said it before, Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are more interested in building a relationship with you than anything else. I believe that is why God “conceals” things. He wants us to search things out. By doing so we draw closer to Him.

Searching a matter out causes us to spend time in the Presence of God and in His Word. It demands that we slow down and be still before the throne so that we gain understanding, clarity, and confirmation. I experienced this just last week.

Last week,  two completely unrelated devotionals I read used the same scripture as the basis for their devotional. I sat up straighter and took the time to “search the matter out.” I read the verse in several translations as I asked Holy Spirit what He was saying to me that day. The verse and its message was like water to my soul. It was a morning I was feeling weary from the personal counsel and ministry that I had been doing. That brought relief and peace as I sat at the feet of the Savior as He showed me His truth and promise of refreshment.

When the Lord conceals a matter with you, celebrate! It means that He longs to meet with you and has even greater revelation and confirmation than you could imagine.

Dear One, He knows what you need in order to take the next step in your journey of identity and purpose. He will reveal His truth in unexpected ways perhaps but when you are willing to search a matter out, He will meet you and confirm His direction and promises.

  1. I can’t thank you enough, Deborah. On Christmas Eve an old forgotten word came back to me suddenly for which the Lord’s concealment is my quest. That word even has a location specified. Just waiting. YOU are always bringing in the “atmosphere” of God’s presence.

    1. Great to hear from you Bob! Prophetic words are often for more than one season in our life. How awesome is HolySpirit that He brought you back to such an encouraging word. Waiting is good!
      Thank you Friend,
      Deborah
