All means All

Last week as a group gathered in Venice we learned a lot about eagles. One of the facts we learned was that when eagles soar they conserve energy. What does that have to do with your journey of identity and purpose?

When you live in the sweet spot of what God created you to be and what He created you to do, you soar effortlessly on the wind of God’s Spirit. You can rest, knowing He is God (Psalm 46:10) and allow Him to take you where He wants you to go.

You can rest knowing He will teach you all you need to know in order to fulfill your purpose.

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

 1 John 2:27

Some call the sweet spot of your God-given identity and purpose—doing what you were created to do—your anointing.

What the apostle John is saying to you and I is that we can trust Holy Spirit to teach us whatever we need in order to accomplish the assignment at hand,

I have done a search on the word “all” in the phrase “teaches you about all things.” The Greek meaning of the word “all” is “all, any, every, the whole.” All means all.

That includes technology, artistic and musical technique, language, writing, and so much more. Certainly the Holy Spirit guides us into all Truth spiritually, but He also stands ready to teach you all that you need to fulfill the purpose He created you for.

Abide in Him and allow Him to direct you. You will find yourself effortlessly soaring as you rely on His wind and His power to propel you into the amazing future that He has for you.
