God is God. He is the God who calls you by name. He is the Lord of Hosts, the Captain of the Army. He is the Bread of Life and Living Water. He knows your deepest desires, indeed, He put them in you. When you rise in the morning He knows your day ahead. He brings direction in the way you should go and peace and joy in the journey.
There is no less revelation waiting for you today than there was in the past. If He is silent it is because it is not time for you you to “hear”. His greatest desire it to build relationship; if He is silent He longs for you to seek Him, to lean in to Him more closely. Dig deeply into what is before you in this natural realm; search, read, seek wisdom and counsel from others. As you do this in the natural realm, He is directing your thoughts and your ideas. He abides in you and you abide in Him. When you submit your thought life to the Lord He accepts it tenderly in His loving hands and begins to train your thoughts to be His thoughts. When you give up notions of how things should be done and submit to His ways He walks with you and whispers the Way you should go for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. When you give Him your will to mold, He takes the desires of your heart and aligns them with His will. Your thoughts, your will, your ways become His plans and purposes for your life.
This is not a someday word. Today, submit your thoughts, your will, and your ways to Him. Do not look to that which surrounds you on this earth to verify that you are operating within His plan, purpose, and will for you. You will not always find or see earthly results. Rest in knowing that with your submission to Him, the surrender of your plan, you have put yourself on the path He has ordained for you. There are times when your path appears to take you away from your perceived destination, however, there are lessons to be learned where you are today. Your spirit is strengthened as you ascend the hill of the Lord. With every step you are being transformed into His likeness; your thoughts are being renewed and your will and ways are bending afresh and anew to His will and way for your life.
Stay in the Word; it is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your way. Immerse yourself in His Word; let it fill your spirit; allow it to flow like honey from your lips. Through it He will give understanding. Thanks be to God! There is great freedom in surrender. Hallelujah!
